Meeting Minutes 

The Everson-Nooksack Chamber of Commerce July 25, 2006 meeting was called to order by Former President Jennifer Lautenbach.
 
There were 13 members present for lunch prepared by Kelly Isfeld.
 
There was no Treasurers report at this time.
 
Jennifer Lautenbach reported on the very very successful 2006 Summer Festival our cities hosted on July 6 thru the 9th.  Everyone had a great time and everything from the Social to the Movie in the Park was successful. The weather cooperating with us was the main factor in the great attendance. 
 
The remainder of our meeting was spent on the topic of whether or not it would be beneficial for us to continue with meetings seeings that we do not have a President or Vice President to lead us.   All in all the feelings of the active members in our group concluded that the meetings were very important  and it would be a shame to discontinue them.  We will now be looking for a new President, Vice President and possible Secretary for next year and the remainder of this year.  Kelly Isfeld and Kami Smith volunteered to be Co-Festival Chairpersons for 2007.  Diana Quinn volunteered to organize a letter to be sent to all the Chamber members to inform them of our future plans and the importance of carrying on the Chamber meetings.  Kelly Isfeld and Jennifer Lautenbach said that they would help with the mailing and organization of getting the letters to everyone.  Jeff Bergman of NW Professional Websites brought up the importance of the members knowing the benefits they would receive by being a member of the Chamber of Commerce and maybe bringing that up in the letter.
 
Kelly Isfeld asked when we should be starting to plan the Christmas Festival and was answered  that at our next meeting in September we should start organizing a committee to plan this event.
 
In our next meeting minutes there will be winners of the raffle and contests of the Festival announced.
