Meeting Minutes

Lunch was prepared by Kelly Isfeld

President Trevor Carslay called the meeting to order.

Secretary Kelly Isfeld read the minutes of the February 28, meeting and they were approved.

Treasurer Tina Labree gave the treasurers report.

Under old business, President Trevor Carslay brought up the subject of the upcoming Auction/Dinner/Dance to be held at Wiggins Barn on April 29th.  We discussed prize donations and raffles of a possible trip to either Hawaii or Las Vegas and decided to look further into if we can afford something like that right now and the pros and cons of even having it as a prize give away.  It was decided to check into the cost and make a decision later.

Also under old business Becky Johns gave a report on some of the events the Glen Echo Community has had lately and told us about some more of the upcoming events scheduled.

Cheryl Brown reported that the Dinner that was put on by her business "A Watered Garden" was a great success and she was very pleased with the results of the event.  The dinner was catered by the Olive Garden and everyone had a good time.

Jennifer Lautenbach gave a report on the Summer Festival planning and everything seems to be on schedule for it.  There will be a meeting at the Masterblend in Everson on Wednesday April 19th, at noon.   Anyone interested in helping out with the committees should attend this meeting.

Kami Smith from W.E.C.C. was present for our meeting and spoke about the new business coming to Everson soon.  She was very excited and as she put it in her own words, "spunky", to be coming to the Everson area.  Kami will be the new branch manager when they open up.  We welcome this new business to our town.

We as a chamber discussed why and when we started the Free Lunch drawing at our meetings.  It was then voted on to continue or drop this drawing in the future and we as a group voted to drop it.

Steve Jones brought up that Marion Evenson the principal at the Everson Elementary School on the Breckinridge road has been given a very deserving award in her career.  We all want to congratulate her on this accomplishment.  There will be a card passed around at the next meeting for all of us to sign and send to her.

MaryBeth O'Neal won the last free lunch drawing.

The meeting was adjourned.
