Chamber Meetings


General member meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month in January, March, May, July, September, and November. The Board meets on the Friday before to set the agenda for Tuesday.   • Everson Library - Your Tech Learning:  Facing a technology challenge? We offer friendly one-on-one, half-hour computer tutoring on your choice of device. Let us help you learn new computer skills through our public computers, or bring your tablet, laptop, or smart phone. All ages and abilities are welcome. Weekly on Wednesdays.   • Everson Library - Ukulele for Everyone:  Strumming and singing with the ukulele has become an international phenomenon! Each month there is a demo, beginning lessons, and a song circle of the "happy instrument." Singers and other instruments welcome as well.   • Everson Library - Everson LEGO Robotics Club:  Have you heard about LEGO MINDSTORMS® ? Wish you could build a robot? Want to do some programming? If you said yes to any of those questions, the LEGO Robotics Club may be for you! Create a team and schedule time in the library to do challenges. Then meet with other teams the 4th Thursday of each month to show off your awesome projects. Call the library for information or to sign up your team. For ages 10 and up.   • Everson Library - Timber Rose: Climbing Mountains in Skirts:  J.L. Oakley, historical writer and author of award winning book Timber Rose, presents the fascinating history and inspiration behind her novel. Set in 1907, Timber Rose tells the story of early mountaineers in the North Cascades and the physical and social challenges they faced. Join Marv Fullner and longtime Grange members as we Explore the Past; Enrich the Present in this informal, interactive gathering sponsored by the Nooksack Valley Heritage Center committee.   • Everson Library - NaNoWriMo and Indie Publishing:  Local author Susan Colleen Browne will chat about the independent publishing process and how to get started as an indie author. Having produced two published books from NaNoWriMo drafts, she’ll also share tips about preparing for NaNoWriMo and ways to persevere with your story until midnight November 30! The author of the award-winning Little Farm in the Foothills, Susan is a WCC creative writing instructor and runs a mini-farm in Whatcom County. Saturday, November 18, 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
