General member meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month in January, March, May, July, September, and November. The Board meets on the Friday before to set the agenda for Tuesday.   • Everson Library - NVHC Display Cabinet: Gooding Shingle Company:  Marv Fullner displays photos and artifacts from the mill started by his great uncle Edward W. Gooding in 1922.   • Everson Library - Winter Festival Used Book Sale:  Browse children’s books while you enjoy the Winter Festival in the Everson City Park.   • Everson Library - Silver Tea:  The Friends of the Everson Library invite you to enjoy refreshments and musical entertainment at this beloved annual event. Craft making for kids. We will provide the supplies and try out different ways to cook something each month ranging from cupcakes in the cupcake maker to mug cakes in the microwave.   • Everson Library - Teens Make Monday Matter: Coloring:  Join us the second Monday of every month while we explore the coloring craze. It has been used to have fun, to reduce stress, and as a basis for a gift. We will provide the coloring pages and a fun variety of tools to color with.   • Everson Library - All Levels Chess Club:  Beginners welcome! We are a friendly mix of adults, teens & kids who enjoy getting together to have fun. Everson Library staff member Cynthia Rogers leads various chess activities and pairs the players for games. More skilled players are handicapped for further challenge, and beginners are given assistance.   • Everson Library - Teens Make Monday Matter: Create:  Join us the third Monday of every month and create something. We will provide the supplies for a different project every month and you bring your imagination and create something that will make your Monday matter! For grades 6-12.   • Everson Library - Library Closure:  The Whatcom County Library System will be closed Saturday, December 24 through Monday, December 26. All branches and the Bookmobile will reopen for regular hours Tuesday, December 27.
  • Everson Library - Ukulele for Everyone:  Strumming and singing with the ukulele has become an international phenomenon! For this monthly event, ukuleles will be available for use courtesy of the Bellingham Ukulele Group. Join Cynthia Rogers for a demo, beginning lessons, and a song circle of the "happy instrument."
